About Me
Hello! I’m Rachel (she/they). I am grateful to have crossed your path as you take steps to support yourself through counseling. I am a Licenced Mental Health Counselor Associate and Art Therapist, which means I have the honor of coming alongside people in their quests to live the lives they most want to live. I am here to support your lived experience with a compassionate, creative, and steady presence.
As a queer and neurodivergent person, I seek the safety and thriving of the communities I belong in and believe that affirming therapy can have an impact beyond ourselves. As we work through our own stories, we not only understand ourselves better, but we step out into the world more ready to give and receive love and care with those around us. I think it is inevitable that the systems we exist in impact our mental health, and interacting with those can be an important part of the therapeutic work we do as we aim for individual and collective healing.
I have a range of interests and specialties in counseling, including Religious Trauma, LGBTQIA+ Identity development, and neurodivergence. I take a collaborative approach leveraging your strengths and values, and with your permission, I like to bring in creativity, nature, and somatic awareness to deepen the process of therapy. I also provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for those who are interested in deepening their experience in this way.
Let’s discover how we can increase your capacity to experience connection, courage, joy, or whatever else you value in life!

Rates and FAQ
Rates:
$150 per 52 minute session
Some sliding scale spots are available for clients in financial need, please inquire for availability.
Insurance:
In Network with Premera and Lifewise
Superbills can be provided for OON benefits on other plans.
My fees are based on my graduate and clinical experience as well as costs associated with administering therapy, continuing education, and cost of living in the Seattle area. I do my best to stay as reasonable as possible.
Access to mental healthcare is essential regardless of your income status. I allocate as many spots as I can to being sliding scale while still living in an oppressive economy and healthcare system myself. If my sliding scale spots are full, I am happy to send you what resources I have on free or low cost therapy providers.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please email or text me at least 24 hours in advance. No shows and cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice results in a charge of 50% your session fee. I have decided to charge 50% as opposed to a full fee in an effort to alleviate financial stress for those with higher frequencies of emergency and illness. Please note that for ethical and liability reasons, 3 consecutive no shows would result in having to close your file from my caseload.
Extended length sessions and intensives may be available. These can be helpful when working through a complex topic, or if getting “into the flow” takes some time for you. Some clients prefer to deepen their therapeutic process with art or nature in this way. These types of sessions are scheduled with a negotiated rate depending on length. Keep in mind, insurance does not typically reimburse for extended length sessions even if they typically reimburse for OON. Due to this, I am happy to work with payment plans if you choose to do an extended session or intensive.
I am a Journey Clinical KAP Provider. I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), which is the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports us in monitoring outcomes. If you would like to explore the possibility of working with me on KAP, please e-mail me at counseling@rachelloch.com to discuss eligibility and next steps.
